This is a cooperative of drivers who drive what I would call truck taxis. Here is a what they look like.

They can take you to places the buses don't go.
Here are some of their prices. The prices are per truck ride, not per person. So if you are going with ten people, you can save money. They just pile you all inside. There are no seats and if it rains, you get wet! Simple as that.

Rosa Elena Moreta The first indiginous woman to climb to the top of Cotopaxi (near Quito and Latacunga).
Now she has started a recycling program which makes flowers out of recycled paper and they sell them to raise funds to help poor kids go to school in Quitogo. The idea came from an American named Dana Platin from the Peace Corps.
